We believe we are offering a unique opportunity to people who would love to work on their treasured classic car engine themselves, but may not have either the space, tools, or perhaps sufficient confidence in their ability to complete the project successfully.

You can bring your engine to us and rebuild it in our workshops using our equipment under our guidance. We offer one to one tuition. 

We have found through experience that an engine restoration masterclass works best in two visits. The first is to strip the engine down and inspect everythimg. Then we take care of machining, parts supply and preparation. You then return to assemble the engine and service the ancillaries. 

We have had participants with differing abilities, these include a lady, and a disabled man. Completed Masterclass engines include Jaguar, Austin Healey, Lotus twin cam, MG, and although we usually work with british engines we have also restored a Volvo and a Maserati engine that arrived as a damaged pile of parts. Current projects include two  classic Jaguar straight six engines and a classic Renault engine.

Call or email to discuss a timescale for your particular engine. We do ask for a non returnable deposit of £500 on booking as we have a limited resource.

If you do not have a classic engine that needs restoration, but would like some hands on experience and tuition you can come and work with Graham on the project in hand, staying locally or just come on a daily basis. This would also be a great experience (gift) for any young person interested in classic cars. We charge £200 per day for this instruction as taking the time to explain things significantly reduces our output.
